Reading isn't everyones cup of tea but something about reading fashion blogs and magazines just hits different. I personally love reading fashion blogs and magazines because it brings me joy educating myself on things that are going on in the fashion industry. Not only does it bring me joy educating myself but it also gives me inspiration to learn more about the industry whether it's trends, fashion designer news, events, etc. Here are some of my favourite blogs and magazines:
1. Blog - étoile by em
étoile by em is a Canadian based blogger that talks about all things fashion related as well as wellness. étoile by em is a fashion enthusiast and has a deep passion for journalism and writing. In her blog, you can always find something to learn about whether that's fashion, lifestyle or self-love! Fun fact: she also love creating/stying outfits and always feeling inspired from the media to bring fashionable outfits for everyone to see. She will be coming out with many more blogs in the future so make sure to follow her Instagram @etoilebyem for more fashion posts!
2. Magazine - Business Of Fashion (BOF)
This is one of my favourite online magazines that focuses on the business part of fashion. BOF covers everything from fashion marketing to sustainability, almost everything!! You can create an account on their website to read daily fashion news, read topics of your interest, get job alerts in the industry, business advice, etc. BOF is a great magazine to keep up with everything that's going on in fashion ranging from different perspectives, news, aspects of upcoming events, and many more. I personally learned quite a bit from reading news by BOF and keeping up with current events that are happening in the fashion industry. This magazine made me realize that I want to work in the creative field of business in fashion which that is my goal I am working towards! If you are interested in more of the business side of fashion and want to keep up with current events/news, BOF magazine is the one for you to read about!
3. Blog - All White Flowers
All White Flowers is a lifestyle blog created Lauren Parker based in Seattle, Washington. This blog includes lots of ootds as well as lifestyle/travel content. Her captivating content in her blogs always keeps me engaged as she shares her own perspective on whatever is going on and, of course, her fashionable outfits that she publishes on her site. All White Flowers has given me creativity that I didn't realize I had to channel my thoughts and explore new fashion trends. She is also immensely into travelling as some of her blogs posts are about her days travelling which is very nice to read about knowing what places she travelled too and showcasing her outfits! 4. Magazine - Whisperings of Anna
I discovered Whisperings of Anna through Pinterest and honestly changed the way I view Old Hollywood Icons in a positive way! Whisperings of Anna is a fashion magazine created by Anna Scotland located in Australia. They are known for their blend in Old Hollywood vintage/elegance glamour and inspiration for anything from self-love to fashion. Whisperings of Anna uses their platform to educate others about the importance of empowerment while maintaining timeless glamour and femininity. Within their magazine issues they include lots of images from from Old Hollywood aesthetics or from the 80s,90s, 2000s depending on what topic it is to showcase the beauty of fashion from the olden days. Whisperings of Anna has numerous writers from all around the world that demonstrate their talent for writing in Anna's publications, which is something very unique about this magazine. Not only are you reading an online magazine about femininity of Old Hollywood but you are reading and supporting other young inspired writers that have a passion for fashion, beauty and lifestyle. That's it! These are my top four favourite blogs and magazines to read, and you should read them as well! All of these blogs differ in some way, ranging from smaller writers to larger ones, so there is some variety for you to choose from. In addition, it depends on the sort of blog or magazine you want to read but these are the ones that I truly think you can educate yourself by reading them. Of course, there are so many more blogs and magazines out there you can read but I personally love the ones I mentioned above.
